In honor of #RSD2024 (Record Store Day 04.20.24) here are some music themed items and art we have framed over the years. From The Police to U2 to Taylor Swift and Marilyn Manson, we'll be happy to help you design your items or make into a shadowbox with CDs and tickets.

This diamond art of a blue and white nautilaus was canvas mounted on to foamboard and put into a blue metal contemporary frame without any glass.

 

Do you have a jigsaw puzzle that is a custom size and/or shape? Have you ever wanted to frame your jigsaw puzzle? Check out these abstract colored puzzles in the shape of Snoopy from Peanuts. We floated them on top of a white background underneath regular glass in matching black contemporary flat frames. How fun is that?!!

 

Small 4x6 original colorful abstract portrait of our client is mounted on foamcore to raise and float atop a black mat with a maroon suede single mat surrounding it that is raised with spacers to highlight the three dimensional feel. Framed in a wooden frame featuring a contemporary metallic black finish and using 99% UV protected Museum Glass for that invisible look. What a fun little piece!!

 

Do you love gnomes? Here's some "Watermelon gnomes" for you!! This adorable cross stitch on white linen is a great example of some bright colors, but as you can see we did a triple mat with a matching white on top. When we matched the correct pink and green mats all you saw was the matting, but adding a third mat to soften the colors brings your eye back to the focal point...the gnomes! We hand stretched the fabric on to acid-free foamcore board and put regular glass in a traditional thin white frame.

 

Do you have kid's art that you're really proud of? How about a piece from Art Class that got an "A"?!!!

This was drawn with crayons and we mounted it in the heat press with Preserve Ultra* to lay nice and flat.  Then we double matted it with a black and blue mats and framed under UV 70** glass with a contemporary flat shaped black frame.

*Preserve Ultra is an Acid-Free mounting process used in the vacuum heat press that is reversible without leaving any adhesives to your artwork.

**UV 70 glass has 70% UV protection while diffracting the reflection like the museum glass, but at an economical price.  

This hand stitched needlepoint had to be blocked to make it square before we could cut the double mat of orange & green to fit. It is framed under Museum Glass in a hand distressed foil metallic wood frame.

 

A colorful Buckethead signed & numbered concert poster with a single orange mat and a high gloss purple frame makes the hot pink colors really pop all underneath museum glass. The final photo shows it hanging in the client's home near another concert poster we previously framed.

These birthstone paintings were mounted using Preserve Ultra with coordinating top mats and either gold or silver mats underneath. All framed with a painted black wood frame under Conservation Clear glass with 99% UV protection.

Painted bark from Mexico is floated on a coordinating color matboard to show the edges under regular clear glass, all in a contrasting carved ornate frame.

 

These colorful elephants are hand painted on to ceramic tiles and then fired to become these vibrant colors. As no glass is needed, a linen wrapped liner and gray tone frame with silver edging was all that was needed to enhance this art.
