Today is National Superhero Day so here are some fun pieces we've framed over the years, even actual comic books!

 

In honor of #RSD2024 (Record Store Day 04.20.24) here are some music themed items and art we have framed over the years. From The Police to U2 to Taylor Swift and Marilyn Manson, we'll be happy to help you design your items or make into a shadowbox with CDs and tickets.

 

Fan art under a double mat and mounted with Preserve Ultra to make it lay nice and flat with museum glass in a contemporary black frame.

 

Before and After...This Stevie Nicks poster was brought in framed in a rose red metal frame with non-glare glass on it and the client didn't like the feel of it. So we switched out for a wider black frame with raised silver dots and changed to UV70 glass which has that beautiful look of no glass so you can see all the detail!!

 

Do you love "Fan Art"? Are maps your passion? Here is a "Fan Art" Map of Roshar from The Stormlight Archives book series by Brandon Sanderson. This really cool map of the fictional land of Roshar is made with metallic inks so there is a light sheen to the entire thing. This was framed without a mat in a traditional shaped frame with a contemporary metallic finish that appears distressed or acid washed in a copper tone using Conservation Clear glass with 99% UV protection.

 

Check out this beautiful ornate gold frame we used on a printed canvas stretched on stretcher bars.

A local artist and regular customer of Hangin', Courtney Hiersche, takes found oil paintings and adds whimsical touches to create a new narrative in the image.

These four pieces are original paintings of fan art on canvas. The customer brought them back from Vietnam folded up in a suitcase. We stretched them over wooden stretcher bars and framed them with a traditional black half round dome frame without any glass.

This signed and numbered print of Garrus Vakarian from the video game Mass Effect was mounted using Ultra Preserve which is a reversible process because it had been shipped rolled in a tube and had some finger dimples. The white border was perfect so no mats in a fun wood frame that is green and looks like oxidized metal to match the green in the print. All framed under UV70 glass that has 70% UV protection but has the non-reflecting look of the more expensive museum glass..
